Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Albania

Minister plenipotentiary Wojciech Unolt has a degree in English Philology. He worked as journalist, editor and translator with a Catholic publishing house “W drodze” and subsequently in the years 1990 -2001 at the Polish language edtion of the Vatican daily “L’Osservatore Romano”.

He joined the Polish diplomatic service in 2001 as First Secretary in the Political and Economic Office of the Polish Embassy in Rome. Since 2006, he worked at the the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw where he headed the Foreign Media Team in the Department of Information Systems. In the years 2008-2014 he served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Polish Embassy in Rome. He continued his career at Warsaw MFA headquarters as senior analyst in the Department of Foreign Policy Strategy and subsequently in the Department of Africa and Middle East as Head of Office for Gulf Countries. From August 2018 to June 2019, he was the chargé d’affaires of Poland in Iran, and for the next four years he served as deputy head of mission in Tehran. Upon returning to Warsaw in 2023, he was appointed Head of Strategic Analysis Team at the Department of Strategy.

On January 27th, 2025 Mr. Wojciech Unolt took office as Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Albania.

Besides his native Polish, he speaks English, Italian, Spanish and Farsi.

He is married and has three children.
