The JAZZ PO POLSKU "Around the World" project took the form of an international concert tour and is inspired by the achievements of the Polish traveler, Paweł Edmund Strzelecki, who was the first Pole to circumnavigate the world (between 1834-1843). As part of the project, Polish musicians will play over 100 concerts on four continents. The leaders of the Polish jazz and improvisation scene will take part in it. The project began in May with concerts of Polish artists in China, Japan, Israel, Canada, Romania and Vietnam. The project is under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, prof. Zbigniew Rau.

The JAZZ PO POLSKU Foundation is a non-governmental organization presenting a wide range of possibilities of Polish artists of the young generation. It helps establish international cultural cooperation and integrates artistic communities from many countries. It strives to refresh and strengthen the image of Polish jazz in the minds of foreign audiences.

Jazz clubs in both cities gathered: heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of the diplomatic corps; representatives of opinion-forming circles; Polish clergy; Poles working and living in Albania as well as friends and supporters of Poland.

Moreover, as part of the festival, on 1st October, jazz band ZIEMIA was invited to the local Radio Tirana, where musicians gave an interview and performed live, and then conducted a workshop for a group of pupils at Artistic Lyceum in Tirana.
