Polish Aid again in action!

24.11.2023

Thanks to the support of the Embassy of Poland in Tirana and funds from the "Polish Aid" program, kitchen and rehabilitation equipment were provided to four nursing houses run by The Missionaries of Charity in Albania.

Implementation of the development aid project will improve the living conditions of patients and make it easier for the Sisters to care of people in need. The Missionaries of Charity (Sisters of Mother Teresa of Calcutta) have been serving in Albania since 1991. They run seven nursing homes for men, women and children with physical and mental disabilities, as well as poor and socially excluded people. In May 2023 one of the houses run in Tirana was visited by the First Lady of the Republic of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda.

Due to congregation rules, the personal well-being of the patients and their dignity, the embassy does not publish photos from nursing homes.
