#TeamEurope - the handover of the second tranche of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines

As part of the European Commission's Team Europe Initiative on vaccine aid from EU member states for the Eastern Partnership countries, on April 11, 2022 Portugal donated a second batch of 200,070 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to Armenia.
In a symbolic ceremony at the National Center for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Yerevan Paweł Cieplak transferred the donation to Mrs. Gayane Stepanyan, deputy director of the Center. In the ceremony took part as well the director of the Reference Laboratory of Armenia Mr. Sergey Karapetyan
In total, Portugal donated Armenia 400,140 doses of this vaccine.
This donation is an expression of the EU's vaccine solidarity with the Eastern Partnership countries, which after Russia's invasion of Ukraine becomes even more important. Poland is the coordinator of this vaccine aid initiative.
