Poland in Belgium

As a key member of the Embassy of Poland in Brussels you’ll be the voice for our French, Flemish, English and Polish audiences in Belgium, supporting initiatives that expand our reach into new and existing followers. You’ll be a go-to expert on social media supporting the Embassy’s units/sections on social posts, product launches, campaign execution and editorial planning, writing and posting content for a range of projects on multiple channels.

Your work will have a direct impact on positioning the Embassy as the leading omnichannel Polish platform in Belgium reaching out Belgian government and non-government institutions, civil society, private sector and other diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium. Cooperating closely with a Consular Section of the Embassy you will plan, develop and execute communication activities targeting the Polish Diaspora in Belgium, therefore an excellent command of Polish is also required.

Your second job portfolio will be related to Embassy’s public and cultural diplomacy program assisting in developing key partnerships, identifying opportunities for local networking and implementing the strategy for the delivery of the public and cultural diplomacy program and public events aimed at raising Poland’s profile in Belgium.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

·        Owning the local social media calendar, including writing, posting and reporting, monitoring and analyzing our platforms and contributing to new social media campaigns and opportunities;

·        Writing, posting content to support the editorial calendar (local stories, etc.);

·        Writing and managing organic social posts and handling community management;

·        Reporting on traffic, engagement and recommending improvements;

·        Optimizing post performance with guidance from social media leads;

·        Developing an in-depth knowledge of our key products and building strong relationships with external stakeholders;

·        Staying up to date on social media industry news and trends and proactively sharing insights and recommendations;

·        Managing relationships with bloggers, influencers and other partners;

·        Developing key partnerships, identifying opportunities for local  networking and implementing the strategy for the delivery of the public and cultural diplomacy program and public events aimed at raising Poland’s profile in Belgium.

 

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

·        Excellent Polish and English writing and speaking skills;

·        Good command of French and Flemish;

·        Proven experience in social media or journalism;

·        In-depth knowledge of social media and content trends;

·        Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices;

·        Excellent people skills;

·        Ability to take complex concepts and explain them simply and briefly;

·        Strong empathy for users and a passion for creating content that connects;

·        Outstanding writing and translation skills and attention to detail;

·        Good understanding of public and cultural diplomacy.
