Poland in Belgium

On September 29th, a ceremony will take place at the Polish Military Cemetery in Lommel, Limburg, to commemorate the role of General Stanisław Maczek’s soldiers in the liberation of Belgium.

The "Forgotten Heroes" exhibition was inaugurated at the Antwerp City Hall commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Flanders by Polish soldiers of the 1st Polish Armoured Division,

New exhibition opened at the Republic of Poland in Brussels presenting portraits of soldiers of the 1st Polish Armoured Division will be available until 11 December.

It has been an intense period of strengthening Polish-Belgian political, economic, and cultural relations & implementing numerous projects with the Polish diaspora in Belgium. Watch the farewell video below

The Polish Embassy in Brussels hosted the inauguration ceremony for the appointment of Mr Jean-Charles Wibo as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Deinze. The event was attended by Ms Aleksandra Klimont-Bodzińska, Head of the Political Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski.

During Thursday's gala of the Belgian-Polish-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce - BEPOLUX in the Polish Embassy in Brussels, the Polish Ambassador's Award ‘Economic Eagle’ for 2023 was awarded. The laureate of this year's statuette is Magabel.

Last friday night several thousand people, including Prince Laurent of Belgium, Mayor of Brussels Philippe Close, visited the 39 stands of Polish producers with Polish food & regional products. Poland was the focus country of this year's MaBru Open Door.
