International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On January 27 - the anniversary of the release of prisoners of the German Auschwitz-Birkenau camp – the world commemorates the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The memorial day was established by the resolution of the UN General Assembly in 2005 to preserve the memory of Jews murdered during World War II.
To preserve the memory of 6 million Jews murdered by the Germans during World War II, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia recommends a short documentaries on the history of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz - Birkenau prepared by the Auschwitz Museum.
