Opening of the exhibition "Poland-Cyprus. 1961-2021"
29.11.2021
As the summary of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and Cyprus, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia prepared a photographic exhibition showing the history and the present day of our bilateral ties.
The official opening of the exhibition took place on November 29 in the Center of Visual Arts and Research (CVAR) in the old town of Nicosia. Upon the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Mrs Irena Lichnerowicz-Augustyn, the event was attended by representatives of the Cypriot authorities and administration, science and culture circles, as well as media and opinion leaders.
We would like to thank all the institutions, both Polish and Cypriot, which helped us to prepare the exhibition by providing us with photographs and other source materials – the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland (the photographers: Jakub Szymczuk, Grzegorz Jakubowski, Eliza Radzikowska-Białobrzewska and Wojciech Grzędziński), Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Press and Information Office of the Republic of Cyprus, Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Warsaw, Nicosia Municipality and Archives of the Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.
The exhibition is presented in the Center of Visual Arts and Research (285 Ermou Street, 1087 Nicosia) and will remain open till 5th December (9:30 - 17:00).
We cordially invite you to visit the exhibition!
