The agenda of consultations included i.a. bilateral Polish-Cypriot relations, with particular emphasis on their parliamentary dimension, Russian aggression against Ukraine and the Cyprus problem.

I am very grateful that the topic of Russian aggression against Ukraine is present in the public sphere of Cyprus and that Madame President Annita Demetriou is supportive of raising this issue constantly. This war threatens the order and security, not only in Central and Eastern Europe but all over our continent and in the whole world - said Marshal Elżbieta Witek during a media briefing after the meeting.

Afterwards, both speakers of parliaments departed to Pyla village in the Larnaca district to visit the kindergarten for Ukrainian refugee children. The next point of the program was a joint walk along the ceasefire line in Nicosia.

In the evening Mrs Elżbieta Witek and Mrs Annita Demetriou visited Lefkara where they met with local authorities and residents of the village.
