Study in Europe Day - educational fair in the buffer zone in Nicosia
28.02.2020
The educational fair was organized by the British Council, which recruits students from Northern Cyprus on behalf of the EU.
The meeting with young people took place on February 28 at the headquarters of Home for Cooperation, a bi-municipal cultural and educational institution located in the UN buffer zone in Nicosia. Its mission is to connect divided Cypriot communities.
Except Polish mission, the event was attended by representatives of the embassies of Austria, Finland, Italy, Slovakia, Sweden, the French Institute, the Goethe Institute, universities from the Netherlands, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as leading universities of the Republic of Cyprus.
Our stand attracted a great interest from Turkish-Cypriot students and pupils. The event was also an example of cooperation between divided communities of the island and EU support for young people from the north Cyprus. It was also a convenient opportunity to promote the Polish educational offer, language and knowledge about our country.
