Two Polish folk bands Sutari and Mehehe played on 7th November on the stage of the music club ALICE Cph in Copenhagen. Viewers could admire a contemporary interpretation of old Polish folk songs and the artists' own compositions inspired by the music of the Polish countryside.

Trio Sutari (Barbara Songin, Katarzyna Kapela and Joanna Kurzyńska) combines old rural traditions with an experimental approach and the sounds of kitchen items, showing how folk music was passed down by housewives. During the concert in Copenhagen, Sutari presented songs from their latest album entitled "Siostry rzeki” (eng. "Sisters of the river”), that deals with the topics such as nature protection.

The Mehehe band (Barbara Songin and Helena Matuszewska) using acoustic folk instruments, spindles, leaves, whispers, screams and songs, took the audience into the mysterious world of rural magic, rituals, witches and shamans. The artists performed the songs from their debut album "Darkening".
