Doing business in Poland in times of coronavirus

18.03.2020

In order to limit the spread of COVID-19 on 15 March 2020 the government of Poland introduced a series of restrictive measures, including a ban for foreigners to enter the country. These restrictions have no impact on the transport of goods.

All transports of goods from and to Poland continue. Foreigners driving vehicles carrying goods are exempted from the entry ban, i.e. they can enter and leave the country without restrictions. Polish freight drivers performing their duties are excluded from the 14 days quarantine, which is generally applicable to all Poles and citizens of other countries with a residence permit in Poland.

The restrictive measures apply for 10 days as of 15 March 2020, but may be further extended. International passenger air flights and international rail travel have been suspended for 14 days.
