In Krzysztof Penderecki’s garden

20.05.2020

Adam Mickiewicz Institute is building an interactive digital garden inspired by the works of Poland’s famous composer Krzysztof Penderecki. „Penderecki’s Garden” will fully bloom in November, but already now all users get the chance to watch how it grows.

Krzysztof Penderecki

Pednerecki’s Garden is a digital project, created not only in memoriam of the late composer, but also to bring his achievements closer to the audience as well as to show his global influence on contemporary music and other fields of art. The leading motif of the project is one of Krzysztof Penderecki’s greatest passions – the garden.

In the virtual space all users will get acquainted with the Master’s music works as well as his personal and artistic biography. However, it shall not serve as a knowledge base, but rather an artistic space, presenting works of other artists, inspired by Krzysztof Penderecki.

Though the project will officially premiere on 23 November, the Maestro’s birthday, already now one can watch it growing at www.PendereckisGarden.pl

While waiting for the great premiere one can also play a sound memory game prepared by Adam Mickiewicz Institute, where the player’s task is to assemble pieces of Penderecki’s works instead of pictures. The game is available at www.MemoryPenderecki.pl

The project is a part of international cultural programme coordinated by Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Poland’s culture agency, realized within the framework of Niepodległa programme for the period 2017 – 2022.
