Poland lifts further quarantine restrictions

As of 16 May 2020 the group of those who will be exempt from quarantine when entering Poland has been extended.

On 16 May 2020 all UE/EEA citizens traveling to Poland for professional, business or education purpose will be exempt from the obligatory 14 days quarantine after entering the territory of Poland (extension from neighboring countries only). Furthermore, exempt from quarantine are bus drivers of buses with capacity of more than 9 persons on board when driving with passengers as well as teachers and guardians of pupils and students from neighboring countries, when travelling for education purposes.

Moreover the exemption applies to all drivers in transit between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. as long as the transit travel via Poland does not exceed 12 hours. This applies also to drivers in international transport who are in transit through Poland either with the aim to take their rest period in their home country or on their way back to the country of employment after the rest period.
