Polish schools of Copenhagen and Viborg celebrate Christmas
14.12.2019
Concerts, nativity plays and Christmas markets contributed to the program of traditional celebrations at Polish schools in Copenhagen and Viborg.
At the Polish School of Copenhagen, the students gave a Christmas performance called ‘My Christmas’, whereas at in Viborg a special nativity play had been prepared by the youngest students during which a whole bunch of fairy-tale characters ranging from H.Ch. Andersen’s ‘The Little Match Girl’ to Pinocchio were hosted by the Bethlehem crib.
Joint singing of Christmas carols, musical performances and meetings at the Christmas Eve table are part of the tradition cultivated by both school communities under the direction of school heads D. Schrieder and E. Bolesta-Snopek.
Ambassador H. Mościcka-Dendys and Consul RP M. Dąbecka attended the celebrations in Viborg, while in Copenhagen the Embassy was represented by Defence Attaché Captain Z. Romanowski and Vice-consul A. Grochowska.
