Singing of the letter of intent between Elbląg and Vordingborg

The cities and harbours of Elbląg and Vordingborg signed a letter of intent on the maritime cooperation.
On 9 May, the representatives of the cities and harbours of Elbląg (Poland) and Vordingborg (Denmark) established the cooperation on development of shipping connections between Poland and Denmark.
The ceremony was opened together by the Polish Ambassador to Denmark Antoni Fałkowski and Danish Ambassador to Poland Ole Toft.
The Mayor of Vordingborg Mikael Smed, President of Elbląg, Witold Wróblewski, Chairman of the Bord of the Vordingborg Municipality Daniel Irvold and Director of the Elbląg Sea Port, Arkadiusz Zgliński signed a letter of intent, which will be followed by the economic agreement.
Vordingborg and Elbląg will primarily work together to transfer the technological solutions, increase competitiveness, strengthen their position in the Baltic sea region, acquire new cargo, launch regular shipping connections and impact positively on the local and regional market.
The cooperation between the cities and harbours was established thanks to the effort among the others of the Maritime University in Gdynia, Poland.
