Søren Lange Nielsen awarded the Golden Cross of Merit

The Polish Independence Day celebrations offered the frame for Ambassador Henryka Mościcka-Dendys to bestow Mr. Søren Lange Nielsen with a Golden Cross of Merit in recognition of his accomplishments in intensifying Polish-Danish economic cooperation.
The celebrations of 101st anniversary of Poland regaining independence took place onn 9 November 2019 at the Kastellet fortress in Copenhagen. Ambassador Henryka Mościcka-Dendys used the solemn occasion to bestow a Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland upon Mr. Søren Lange Nielsen in recognition of his accomplishments in intensifying the Polish-Danish economic cooperation.
Mr. Søren Lange Nielsen has had strong professional ties with Poland for many years, including his service as trade counselor at the Royal Danish Embassy in Warsaw between 1997 and 2002. From 2006 until retirement, Mr. Nielsen worked at Dansk Byggeri, a business organization gathering over 6000 Danish construction companies. Serving as main advisor he was in charge of international cooperation with companies entering the Danish market, including several Polish enterprises. He stayed committed to supporting Polish companies, as well as Polish employees, including during negotiations with labour unions. He participated in numerous seminars, trainings and presentations held by the former Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy in Copenhagen for Polish entrepreneurs. His work and commitment were an inspiration and a direct reason for many Danish investors to discover Poland and enter the Polish market.
A representative of the Western Pomerania was also present at the ceremony, conveying best wishes from the region’s Marshall to Mr. Nielsen.
