30 Days to Expo 2025 Osaka
13.03.2025
The promotion of the Polish economy, investment opportunities, innovative solutions, and the potential of Polish entrepreneurs – these are the key benefits of Poland’s participation in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. The programme, planned events, and the concept of the pavilion – which will serve as Poland’s showcase for six months – were presented during the ‘30 Days to Expo 2025 Osaka’ conference. The event was attended by Minister Krzysztof Paszyk.
We are an economy that is developing, one which in recent years has demonstrated its resilience to crises to which other European economies proved vulnerable. We want to showcase that in Osaka. We have a very ambitious agenda for promoting the Polish economy. These include economic fora focused on exports – we have many sectors that are in demand globally, such as new technologies, energy and renewable energy. There will also be events promoting investment, as well as business missions and meetings. The Polish economic promotion programme will bring excellent results for entrepreneurs
- said Minister Krzysztof Paszyk during the conference.
On 13 April 2025, one of the world’s most important economic and promotional events will begin in Osaka, Japan. Organisers estimate that the Expo will attract 28 million visitors, including 3.5 million international guests. The event will host 161 countries and regions, as well as 9 international organisations.
Poland will be presented as a country whose main asset is its people – creative, open, educated, imaginative, and courageous in thought and action.
The central theme of Poland’s participation at Expo is: ‘Poland. Heritage that drives the future.’
The Polish Pavilion as a symbol of creativity – also of Polish business
The Polish Pavilion will serve as Poland’s hub in Japan for half a year. It will offer nearly 1,000 square metres of space to promote Poland’s economy, tourism, science and culture.
The architectural concept of the Pavilion is based on a structure symbolising a wave of Polish creativity spreading beyond the country’s borders. Interactive art installations will visualise the intergenerational transmission of the Polish ‘gene of creativity.’ This enables action for a better future, supports adaptability to unexpected global changes, and drives the generation of new ideas for technological and social solutions.
The Pavilion will also serve as a centre for Polish entrepreneurship. Polish companies will be able to present their potential and achievements, innovative solutions and technologies, exchange experiences with foreign partners, and establish new business relations.
The Polish Pavilion and the surrounding area promoting Poland are exceptional in many respects, including the design of the structure and the space, which have been conceived in an innovative way. The Pavilion and the World Expo in Osaka will be another step on Poland’s path to success through such events
- Minister Krzysztof Paszyk emphasised.
Entrepreneurs’ participation and the planned economic programme are among the key components of Poland’s presence at Expo 2025 Osaka. Events will include the Polish-Japanese Economic Fora: on exports (20 May) and investment (30 September), as well as business missions and meetings during sectoral trade fairs. Entrepreneurs have been invited to showcase their potential under the Expo 2025 Partnership Programme, which offers various forms of collaboration, such as: Pavilion Equipment Partner, Accompanying Events Partner, Accompanying Events Sponsoring, and Strategic Partnership.
Benefits of participation in Expo 2025
The economic promotion programme focuses on six key Polish sectors: agri-food, medical and pharmaceutical, cosmetics, green technologies, and IT/FinTech.
Participation in the event will enable:
- Building the recognition of the Polish Economy Brand – with wide, multifaceted promotion of the Polish economy, the creativity of Polish companies, and their innovative solutions;
- Increasing the international visibility of Polish products and strengthening cooperation with non-European markets;
- Developing economic relations with Japan – a market seen as particularly promising in the context of Poland’s strategic sectors – as well as with other countries in the region;
- Strengthening Poland’s position as a safe investment destination, particularly for investments in high-tech areas requiring top-quality infrastructure and human capital;
- Developing tourism from Japan and other Asian countries to Poland;
- Promoting Polish culture.
The project is being implemented by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) under the supervision of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.
