Artur Soboń as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has appointed Artur Soboń as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology. From 8 October 2021, he also serves as Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for Local Development.
He was born on 13 March 1977 in Świdnik. Graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of the Catholic University of Lublin (MA thesis: Political power in the conservative thought of the 2nd Republic of Poland), and from the College of Enterprise Sciences of the Warsaw School of Economics (MA thesis: Value building strategy on the example of Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka). Graduate of postgraduate studies in European projects at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and in accounting and finance at the Catholic University of Lublin. He completed doctoral studies in economics at the College of Social Sciences of the Warsaw School of Economics.
He lives with his family in Świdnik.
Public functions
Since 2001 he has worked for the Świdnik Town Hall, initially as the Head of the Strategy and Development Department and, since 2006, as the Town Secretary.
In the years 2006-2010 district councillor and social member of the Świdnik District Board. In 2010-2015, a councillor of the Lublin Voivodeship Assembly.
Since 2015, a Member of the Polish Parliament. As part of his parliamentary activities, he serves as Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for the Reindustrialisation of Poland and Chairman of the Parliamentary Group for the Friends of Polish Airmen. Member of the national defence and public finance committees.
Since 2018 in the government economic ministries: construction and real estate, European funds, state assets.
From 9.01.2018 to 14.11.2019. Secretary of State in the Ministry of Investment and Development, responsible, among others, for construction and the Operational Programme Eastern Poland 2014-2020.
From 15.11.2019 to 4.12.2019. Secretary of State in the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy.
From 2019 Secretary of State in the Ministry of State Assets, served as Government Plenipotentiary for the transformation of energy and coal mining companies.
He exercised corporate governance in commercial law companies on behalf of the State Treasury and local government units.
