And he added: - Over 2,500 Polish companies are participating in the World Expo. We promote Poland there as a reliable trade partner and a safe haven for investment.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with entrepreneurs from Poland and the Persian Gulf Region countries who were taking part in the Polish-Arab Economic Forum in Dubai.

Polish entrepreneurs have a lot to offer foreign partners when it comes to modern technologies, for example in such sectors as green energy, digital economy or food security," Deputy Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak noted during the inauguration of the Forum.

The Minister also participated in the Polish Day celebrations at the World Expo 2020, held on 7 December at the Polish Pavilion.

It was an excellent opportunity to promote culture and the creativity and achievements of Polish companies, especially from the SME sector. Since the beginning of the World Expo, the Polish Pavilion has already been visited by nearly 300,000 people from all over the world," stressed the deputy head of the Ministry of Development and Technology.

Meanwhile, at the US Pavilion, he met with US Commissioner for Expo 2020 Robert Clark. The conversation concerned the further development of Polish-American economic cooperation, particularly investment cooperation.

Deputy Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak met with Secretary General of the UAE International Investors Council Jamaral Saif Al Jarwan and UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. The talks focused on economic cooperation between our countries.

We are ready to cooperate effectively with the Emirati partners in the field of investment. We see a great potential for development here," stressed the deputy head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

Bilateral agreements with UAE partners

During the visit to Dubai, representatives of government agencies whose work is supervised by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology signed bilateral agreements on cooperation with their counterparts from the United Arab Emirates. These are:

Meanwhile, the National Chamber of Commerce (KIG) renewed its 2009 agreement with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Both organisations have also established the Emirates-Poland Business Council, which will bring together companies, organisations and institutions from both countries interested in carrying out joint projects in the UAE and Poland.
