The European Commission agreed to the prolongation of all aid instruments used since the spring of 2020 and to the cancellation of up to 100% of support granted from the Polish Development Fund (PFR) in the spring and summer of 2020.

In addition, it also agreed to the cancellation of up to 100% of support granted to SMEs from the Polish Development Fund in the spring and summer of 2020 for companies from industries affected by restrictions

The European Commission approved the option of total cancellation of subsidies for small and medium enterprises in selected sectors that they had received under the PFR Shield. It is the additional amount of 7 billion PLN from the envelope granted to enterprises operating in 38 industries (specified by PKD codes) under the PFR Financial Shield 1.0.

Altogether, 347,000 companies made use of this support under the PFR Financial Shield. This form of support helped to protect around 3.2 million workplaces.
