Michał Wiśniewski appointed to the post of deputy minister of development and technology

Minister of Development and Technology Piotr Nowak 7 February 2022 presented Michał Wiśniewski with an act of appointment by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to the post of Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Development and Technology

The new Deputy Minister will be responsible for the area of supervised and subordinate units, low-carbon economy and real estate management.

Michał Wiśniewski is a graduate of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, IESE Business School University of Navarra and MBA management studies at the University of Warsaw. He gained his professional experience in the private sector in the IT industry and in public administration - working in advisory and management positions - at the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, the Ministry of Environment, the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and the Ministry of Digitalisation.

In 2020-2022 and 2018-2019 he was Deputy Director General of the National Agricultural Support Centre (KOWR), responsible for the Departments: Innovation, ICT, Strategy and Analysis, Agricultural Market Development, Export Support and Finance and Accounting.

He is a co-author of the KOWR strategy and strategy of promoting Polish food abroad. He is a member of the Stock Exchange Agricultural Markets Council.

From 2019 he has been also a member of the Supervisory Board of Warszawski Rolno-Spożywczy Rynek Hurtowy S.A. in Bronisze

From 2017 to 2018 he was the Director of the Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Environment.

He is co-author of the State Artificial Intelligence Policy, leader of the Internet of Things Group in Poland, co-author of the Internet of Things in Poland Report.
