Minister Grzegorz Piechowiak meets representatives of the International Group of Chambers of Commerce
24.03.2021
The analysis of investment opportunities in Poland was the main topic of the conversation between the Deputy Minister of Development, Labour and Technology Grzegorz Piechowiak with representatives of the International Group of Chambers of Commerce (IGCC), which comprises 16 chambers of commerce. The meeting was held on the initiative of the Belgian Chamber of Commerce, which holds the six-month presidency in this organisation.
I am happy that, in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, foreign companies continue to perform investment projects successfully in our country. The value of foreign investments in Poland totals currently over 236 bn USD, which accounts for ca. 24% of capital invested by foreign companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Companies with foreign capital account for almost 1/3 of all investment outlays in Poland,’ said the Deputy Minister of Development, Labour and Technology and Government Plenipotentiary for Foreign Investments Grzegorz Piechowiak.
This shows that we have a very good incentive scheme for foreign investments in comparison to our neighbours. Special Economic Zones and the Polish Investment Zone form only a part of these solutions. Our further actions will focus on the simplification of Polish law and administrative procedures so that each investment in Poland could be carried out more efficiently,’ added the Deputy Minister of Development, Labour and Technology.
