PLN 2 million from SEZs for humanitarian aid for Ukraine
04.03.2022
On the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the management boards of all Special Economic Zones in Poland donated over PLN 2 million for Ukraine, which is fighting for freedom and sovereignty of its own country against the Russian occupant.
The money collected by all fourteen Special Economic Zones, will be transferred to humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian people are defending their Motherland and territorial integrity with great sacrifice and courage. It is our human and civic duty to help our neighbours in this tragic situation. The support of the Special Economic Zones is another of the initiatives that is an expression of our solidarity with the Ukrainian citizens affected by the war
- said Minister of Economic Development and Technology Piotr Nowak.
I am convinced that more than 2 million zlotys donated by the Special Economic Zones will contribute to providing the most urgent needs for the citizens of Ukraine, who are still fighting for the freedom of their country and look to the future with anxiety. Any aid, especially that which secures the most urgent needs of the Ukrainian people, is now precious.
- Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology Grzegorz Piechowiak noted.
Humanitarian aid for Ukraine
The citizens of Ukraine, who are experiencing the war directly in their country, are now in need of support to meet the most basic needs of life - mainly food and medicine. Items such as medicines, specialist dressings and all kinds of medical assistance, which have not previously been required on such a scale, are urgently needed.
All those who would like to join in the aid of war victims are directed to the website
