It is important to help those who wish to develop, including young Belarusian entrepreneurs. Providing Belarusians with a helping hand is our moral obligation, in particular in the current moment - says the Deputy Prime Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz.

The Poland. Business Harbour programme is a comprehensive package allowing specialists from the IT sector, SMEs, as well as large companies to relocate to the territory of the Republic of Poland. The programme is coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, in cooperation with GovTech Poland in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the Startup Hub Poland foundation.

The service package will help to obtain the following information, among others:

  • how to quickly and efficiently start a business in Poland,
  • how to receive assistance in relocating employees and their families, or
  • how to receive legal and visa assistance under the “business concierge” formula.

In addition, natural persons as well as business entities from Belarus will receive assistance in engaging in contact with the local governments or Special Economic Zones, which are actively participating in developing the offer for relocated employees and their families by establishing temporary office and housing spaces. One of the components of the package also includes assistance in the communication between the business owners and the investors as well as grants for R&D.

Natural persons with qualifications in engineering or IT can benefit from a simplified visa procedure. In addition, several dozen Polish technological companies have prepared special job offers for the immigrants, subject to an accelerated visa procedure. The catalogue of companies remains open – we invite companies from the IT sector which wish to join the programme to fill out the questionnaire available under this link - click here. Software Development Association Poland (SODA) and the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT) participate in the programme.

Special acknowledgements are due to the Polish technology companies which transfer the traditional Polish hospitality to the electronic domain. Such extensive interest is particularly positive not only because it shows that Polish companies always support persons in need, but also because they support the Polish economy - says Justyna Orłowska, The Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister of Poland for GovTech.

The central information point of the entities interested in using or joining the programme is a dedicated website, available since Wednesday at gov.pl/businessharbour.

Safety, potential for development in a stable economy and reliable partners - those are the benefits available by the Vistula river to Belarusian business owners. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency will ensure their safe landing. That includes primarily support related to information, coordination of the relocation process as well as advisory services - says Grażyna Ciurzyńska, the President do the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

A dedicated helpline was also launched for the project, available at +48 22 334 99 77, Monday to Friday, 24 hours each day in Russian and English. Belarusians may also submit their inquiries to the following e-mail address: paih24_by@paih.gov.pl.
