Polish-Spanish Business Forum participated by the head personnel of the Ministry

The perspectives of business and investment cooperation between Poland and Spain, presentations regarding new mobility and rail transport were the key items raised during the Polish-Spanish Business Forum, attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Jarosław Gowin and Deputy Minister Robert Tomanek. The event was held on-line.
The Forum was organised by the Polish Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, and the Spanish Ministry of industry, Trade and Tourism and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs CEOE. Reyes Maroto, Minister of industry, Trade and Tourism and Xian Margareda Méndez Bértolo, State Secretary for Trade participated in the Forum on behalf of the Spanish government.
Spain is our important strategic partner. It is the fifth foreign investor in Poland, as well as the seventh export and import partner. Our competencies and resources complement each other, thus establishing a very good basis for cooperation
– Robert Tomanek, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology, said during his opening speech.
Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin presented the measures implemented by the MEDLT to improve the socio-economic situation during the fight against the COVID-19. He pointed to the Plan for Labour and Economic Development, the Productivity Strategy and the New Industrial Policy. He also referred to the economic relations between Poland and Spain.
The Spanish market is well known to Polish entrepreneurs from the IT, food, automotive and cosmetics industries. On the other hand, Spanish construction, financial or clothing companies are particularly recognisable by the Vistula

The head of the MEDLT pointed out that Poland continues its economic development based on innovation.
Poland continues its economic development based on innovation. That is why I hope that today's meeting will be an opportunity to open up to new industries, to technological cooperation and for joint innovations

By the end of the month, the Polish-Spanish intergovernmental consultations will be held in Alcala de Henares (Spain). As part of the consultation, an economic, development and labour table is planned with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin and representatives of the Spanish government.
