The agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism between Poland and Bulgaria

Today in Poznañ the Secretary of State Mr. Andrzej Gut-Mostowy and the Minister responsible for tourism of Bulgaria Ms. Stela Baltova signed an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria. Deputy Minister Andrzej Gut-Mostowy together with Minister Stela Baltova participated in the opening of Tour Salon in Poznań - fair of regions and tourist products.

Tourist exchange between Poland and Bulgaria
We observe a systematic increase in arrivals from Poland - in 2018 their number increased by 11.8% compared to the previous year and reached 475,000, which accounts for 3.8% of all arrivals to Bulgaria.
The number of arrivals to Bulgaria in 2015-2019 ranged from 9.3 to 12.6 million. Arrivals from Europe dominate, including Romania (17.2%), Turkey (13.0%), Greece (10.2%) and Germany (7.6%).
Arrivals from Bulgaria to Poland in recent years have been at the level of about 109-110 thousand per year, of which more than half are tourist arrivals, i.e. with at least 1 overnight stay in our country. In 2019, an increase of 0.9 % compared to 2018 was recorded.
Poland is bound to Bulgaria by an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism. It was drawn up in Sofia on 10 January 1969 and entered into force on 12 July 1969.
TOUR SALON 2021 in Poznań
During the opening ceremony of TOUR SALON in Poznań the "Rose of Regions" awards were presented - prizes in the 11th edition of the competition organised by the editors of Wiadomości Turystyczne. The idea behind the Rose of the Regions Competition is to promote the activities of local authorities related to tourism promotion of the area and to recognise the best projects and their creators. Promoting and awarding the best promotional projects supports the development of high standards of presenting the tourist values of our country.
This year's edition of Tour Salon will be held from 24th to 26th September together with the CARAVANS SALON POLAND campervan fair under the motto "Discover the taste of adventure". The programme of events encourages visitors to discover not only new travel destinations but also new passions and new ways of spending leisure time. At TOUR SALON, together with exhibitors and partners, the organisers encourage active leisure, focusing strongly on the promotion of Polish regions. At its stand the Polish Tourist Organisation promotes Polish Tourism Brands in particular.
The trade fair exhibitors include: cities, communes, poviats, tourism promotion organisations, tourist regions, regional products, transport service providers, suppliers of other services in tourism.
