Robert Kroplewski
Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Digital Affairs for information society
Legal counsel, since 1994 convergence practitioner and expert in electronic media and social communication services. He specialises in new media, information society, interactivity in social communication, protection of privacy and the right to information, as well as regulation and deregulation of the media and telecommunications market.
Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk. Graduated from Postgraduate Studies at the Institute of Intellectual Property of the Jagiellonian University and Postgraduate Studies in Safeguarding Competition, Industrial Property and Computer Law of the Jagiellonian University. Arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications, as well as the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce. Since 2000, he has been the owner of Kancelaria Radcy Prawnego Kroplewski.com (Kroplewski.com Legal Counsel Office). In 2004-2006, he served as the director of the Legal Department of the National Broadcasting Council. In 2011-2016, he held the position of the Director of the Legal Office of Telewizja Polska S.A. Since 2006, he has been working as expert on media and new technologies of the Sobieski Institute. In the years 2006-2011, he was employed as expert of the President of Office of Electronic Communications, Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, as well as Sejm Committee on Culture and Social Media.
