Almost PLN 3 billion for families as part of family care capital and subsidies for nurseries

Nearly PLN 2.8 billion as part of family care capital and more than PLN 200 million as part of co-financing for a child’s stay in a nursery, children’s club or day-care provider have been provided to families since the moment of launching new support tools. – For many young parents, this is a great relief and for some an opportunity to return to work – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.
Family care capital and co-financing for a child’s stay in a nursery, children’s club or day-care provider, which were launched this year, are important support instruments for families with small children.
Additional funds for childcare help reconcile family and work life better. For some parents, especially young mothers, this means an opportunity to return to work. This is an important element of the really family-oriented policy of the government – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.
Family Care Capital
It is even up to PLN 12 thousand for the second and each subsequent children, aged 12-35 months - regardless of income and parents decide on their own how to spend additional funds.
So far, family care capital has covered nearly 537 thousand children, and the amount of benefits paid is PLN 2.76 billion.
Co-financing for the stay in a nursery
Co-financing for a child’s stay in a nursery, children’s club or day-care provider is granted to children who are not covered by family care capital. It is even up to PLN 400 per month, which goes directly to the institution.
Today, co-financing covers 99.4 thousand children and the amount of support is more than PLN 200 million.
