Another meeting of the Equality Directive implementing team at the Ministry of Labour

On Wednesday 12 March, the third meeting of the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the EU Council on Equal Pay for Men and Women was held at the Ministry of Labour.
The first meeting of the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union to strengthen the application of the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value between men and women through pay transparency and enforcement mechanisms, which was appointed by the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, took place on 16 January 2025. The team was established in December 2024.
During the third meeting of the Team on Wednesday, representatives of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy talked about selected issues concerning the EU Directive:
- “Directive 2023/970 - Remuneration Transparency. An overview of selected legislation” presented by Aneta Slowinska - Chief Specialist in the International Labour Law Division of the Labour Law Department;
- “Directive 2023/970 - Remuneration Transparency. Work of Equal Value” presented by Agnieszka Bolesta - Head of the International Labour Law Division in the Labour Law Department;
- “Directive 2023/970 - Remuneration Transparency. The most problematic issues” presented by Agnieszka Wołoszyn - Deputy Director in the Labour Law Department.
What does the team do?
The tasks of the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the EU Council on Equal Pay for Men and Women include:
- a comprehensive analysis of the provisions of the Directive;
- development of draft laws implementing the Directive;
- development of recommendations for dealing with the draft laws;
- analysis of the economic and legal impact of the developed solutions.

The Team comprises:
- Chairman Liwiusz Laska, Director General of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy;
- Deputy Chairman Mateusz Hebda, Director of the Office of the Minister at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy;
- Deputy Chairwoman Mirosława Brzostek-Kleszcz, Deputy Director in the Labour Law Department of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy;
- Representatives of Statistics Poland, the Ministry of Justice, the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, the Public Procurement Bureau and the State Labour Inspectorate;
- Representatives of the following departments of the Ministry of Labour: Department of Economic Analysis, Department of Dialogue and Social Partnership, Labour Law Department, Legal Affairs Department, Labour Market and the Equal Treatment Department in the Prime Minister's Office.
