16.11.2021
On Tuesday, the Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy, Barbara Socha received the award “Defenders in the name of the family”, presented by the “Catalonia Platform for the Family”. In this manner, the association awarded the activities promoting family values. – This is thanks and appreciation for the whole family-oriented policy pursued by the government of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki – says Barbara Socha, who is the Government Plenipotentiary for Demographic Policy.
Daniel Arasa, President of the “Catalonia Platform for the Family” association, said that the award was an expression of appreciation for the contribution to organising various activities promoting the family, or promoting the values of motherhood and fatherhood.
The award was presented to the work on the draft Demographic Strategy 2040 which has set the lines for action to get away from the trap of low fertility and to move closer to a level guaranteeing generational replacement. This is done through, inter alia, initiatives that will be implemented within the framework of the Polish Order and which are addressed to families, such as Family Care Capital, Flat without own contribution or the reform of the tax system.
The Ministry of Family and Social Policy also runs the “Family First!” competition addressed to non-governmental organisations for co-financing projects aimed at promoting the family. In 2021, the campaign to promote engaged fatherhood was also implemented.
Recognition of the family-oriented policy of the government
We want to create the best possible conditions in Poland for setting up families and raising children. Simply, for the happy life. That is why the “Defender in the name of the family” award is a special one. A huge stimulus to further work for families - said Deputy Minister Barbara Socha. – This is also thanks and appreciation for the whole family-oriented policy pursued by the government of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Our role is not only to introduce solutions, but also to cooperate with local governments, employers or non-governmental organisations. With all who create the environment for families on a daily basis – she added.
