Awards of the Minister of Family and Social Policy for outstanding, innovative solutions in the field of social assistance in 2022 granted

Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy, and Stanisław Szwed, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, took part in the award ceremony on the occasion of the Social Worker’s Day, which took place at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. This year, the winners received: 10 individual awards and 8 team awards for outstanding, innovative solutions in the field of social assistance.
21 November is the Social Worker’s Day. The Minister of Family and Social Policy thanked all people dealing with social assistance for their exceptionally hard work and helping those who need it most every day.
I would like to thank social workers and all those dealing with social assistance for your hard work that – which must be emphasised – is extremely difficult, responsible, requires commitment and a sense of a kind of mission to help. You do not lack difficult tests, due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine – said the Minister.
In turn, Deputy Minister Stanisław Szwed, also emphasising the unique nature of the work of tens of thousands of social workers, reminded that social policy has a broad dimension.
One can mention assistance for dependent people and additional support of PLN 500, programmes such as “Respite Care”, “Assistant for People with Disabilities” or the Senior Support Corps – noted the Deputy Minister.
