Celebration of the Day of the Social Worker in Lusławice and Brzesko, with the participation of Minister Marlena Maląg

This year’s celebration of the Day of the Social Worker in Lusławice and Brzesko in the Małopolskie Voivodeship was held with the participation of the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg. – I know you are aware of your role and the difficulties you have to cope with. You are a community of people with a mission who help those who are most needy – said Minister Maląg.
Thursday is another day of the visit paid by the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, to Małopolska. As part of the celebration of the Day of the Social Worker in Lusławice, organised at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Music Centre, the Minister met with the employees of social welfare centres and volunteers from the region.
- I know you are aware of your role and the difficulties you have to cope with. You, social workers, regardless of employment and jobs, do your best every day to improve the living conditions of many social groups – said Minister Maląg.
Social workers perform important tasks in the social welfare system in our country, by providing comprehensive support to many communities. Today, nearly 22.5 thousand people work in the district family support and social welfare centres. In the Małopolskie Voivodeship, this is a group of 2 thousand people.
As part of the celebration of the Day of the Social Worker in Lusławice, Minister Marlena Maląg presented awards to the persons implementing important social welfare projects and helping groups at risk of exclusion.
The Day of the Social Worker in Brzesko
Then, Minister Marlena Maląg visited Brzesko, where she participated in the district celebrations of the Day of the Social Worker.
- Each of us has a responsibility requiring empathy in helping people who are in a difficult life situation. Let us be open every day to the others – stressed the head of the Ministry of Family
During the ceremony in Brzesko, Minister Maląg presented the honourable Primus in Agenda badges, awarded for the most innovative projects and for the integrity and dedication in the activities for the others as well as the honourable Meritis pro Familia badges for the particular promotion of family and patriotic attitudes.
– Thank you for your special help to all those who need it. Your activities show that you see the others who you meet every day in a unique manner – said Minister Maląg
Unveiling the plaque in Wieliczka
The last point on the map of Thursday activities of Minister Marlena Maląg was Wieliczka, where she unveiled a plaque at the District Family Support Centre and participated in a press briefing.
- We want Poles to feel important. For all of them, we implement the Polish Order – a comprehensive development programme for Poland for the next years. We put the family in the spotlight, and from the very beginning of our rule we have ensured that this direction we chose will not change. We are consistent, we keep our word – said the head of the Ministry at the briefing.
