Christmas Greetings from Minister Marlena Maląg
23.12.2021
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
With all my heart, I would like to send you my most sincere wishes on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas.
Christmas is particularly close to me, because the miracle of birth lying at its origin took place in the Family. And it is the Family that is the first experience of every human being, it shapes them for the rest of their life, gives them unconditional love. Families form the community which is their strength and component.
The second reason for which Christmas is so important is the message it carries. It is a sign that has been recalled for more than two thousand years and understood by so many people. Saint John Paul II described it so beautifully: It is a sign of hope for the whole human family; a sign of peace for those suffering from conflicts of every kind; a sign of freedom for the poor and oppressed; a sign of love and consolation for those who feel lonely and abandoned. A small and fragile sign, a humble and quiet sign, but one filled with the power.
So may this power coming from distant Bethlehem penetrate deep into your hearts. May the first star bring peace and understanding, suppress disputes and mitigate conflicts. May your homes and all your families be filled with love, warmth and heartiness to stay there forever.
Traditionally, I wish you – both the youngest and the oldest – a lot of health, fulfilment of all your innermost dreams, joy and happiness. May every night in your life be like Christmas Night, full of surprises and warmth, filled with closeness and giving rise to hope.
Marlena Maląg
