Creation of 105 new Homes and Clubs as part of the Senior+ programme

Thanks to this year’s edition of the Senior+ programme, 105 new Senior+ Homes and Clubs will be created all over Poland while 598 existing institutions will receive co-financing for operation – I am happy that thanks to the Senior+ programme, together with self-governments, we may activate elderly people, create for them a space for self-fulfilment, for meetings with others – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.
As part of this year’s edition of the Senior+ competition, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy received 811 offers in total. Finally, thanks to the co-financing from the 2022 edition of the programme, 105 new homes and clubs will be built, and 598 will receive co-financing for further operation.
- I am happy that thanks to the Senior+ programme, together with self-governments, we may activate seniors, create for them a space for self-fulfilment, for meetings with others. These are important places where they can show social activity and develop their own passions. In our activities, it is humans who are the most important – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.
The total amount of funds allocated for the implementation of the task is PLN 60 million, including:
- PLN 20 million for the creation of „Senior+” Day Homes and „Senior+” Clubs;
- PLN 37 million for providing the operation of already existing centres;
- PLN 3 million for the technical support of the programme.
The total amount of support in this year’s edition of the „Senior+” programme is PLN 58,858,483.07.
