Unit description:

The Department of Social Integration is responsible for defining courses of action and carrying out tasks in the field of integration of foreigners, preparing standards in the above area and monitoring the solutions implemented.

The main areas of the Department's activity include:

  • implementation of the tasks of the leading institution in the field of integration policy for foreigners and coordination of tasks in the area of integration of foreigners;
  • developing proposals for the Minister's directions of action in the field of integration of foreigners;
  • performing tasks related to the implementation of individual integration programmes for foreigners on the basis of the Social Assistance Act;
  • handling matters related to the implementation of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (2021-2027);
  • developing assumptions and implementing projects co-financed from EU structural funds, within the scope of Department’s jurisdiction;
  • cooperating in the area of social integration in particular with voivodeship offices, district family assistance centres, regional social policy centres, as well as NGOs operating in this area.
