Equality Directive implementation team begins work

On Thursday, the first meeting of the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the EU Council on equal pay for men and women, appointed by the labour Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy (MFLSP).

Back in December 2024, the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, appointed the Team for the Implementation of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union on strengthening the application of the principle of equal pay for men and women for equal work or work of equal value.

On Thursday 16 January this year, the first meeting of the team took place, whose tasks include a comprehensive analysis of the provisions of the Directive, preparation of draft normative acts aimed at implementing the Directive, preparation of recommendations on how to proceed with the draft normative acts prepared, as well as an analysis of the economic and legal consequences of the introduction of the solutions worked out.

The team includes:

  • Liwiusz Laska, the Chairman, Director-General of the Ministry of the MFLSP;
  • Mateusz Hebda, the 1st Vice-Chairman, Director of the Office of the Minister at the MFLSP;
  • Mirosława Brzostek-Kleszcz, the 2nd Vice-Chairman, Deputy Director in the Labour Law Department of the MFLSP;
  • Representatives of the Statistics Poland, the Ministry of Justice, the Personal Data Protection Office, the Public Procurement Office and the State Labour Inspectorate;
  • Representatives of the Departments of the ministry of labour: Economic Analysis, Dialogue and Social Partnership, Labour Law, Legal Affairs, Labour Market and the Equal Treatment Department in the Prime Minister's Office.
