Family Care Capital – applications from January 2022

From January 2022, the governmental programme entitled Family Care Capital is to be launched. – This is another support for families and an investment in human capital – said Minister Marlena Maląg. For this purpose, PLN 3 billion was secured in the state budget.
– We are on the eve of launching another governmental programme supporting families – Family Care Capital – said the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg during a press briefing. – Applications can be submitted from the beginning of January.
Another PLN 3 billion will go to children
Family Care Capital is granted to parents of at least two children aged between 12 and 36 months. Parents will be able to receive the amount of PLN 12 thousand for two years – PLN 500 a month, or for a year – PLN 1 thousand a month. – During this time, there will be a possibility of changing the method of payment once – said Minister Maląg.
The programme will be handled by the Social Insurance Institution, electronically, via the Platform of Electronic Services (PUE), Emp@tia or electronic banking, just as it is in the case of the Family 500+ benefit. Payments will be transferred to the bank account.
– This is another support for families and an investment in human capital – said Minister Marlena Maląg. She added that the programme should also contribute to changing the unfavourable demographic situation, by making it easier for parents to reconcile their work and family life.
According to estimates, about 615 thousand children will receive this benefit next year. – PLN 3 billion is secured in the state budget for this purpose – stressed Minister Maląg.
ZUS will help in submitting applications
Also from next year, the system of subsidies for nursery care will be launched. Subsidies, in the amount of PLN 400 per child, will be transferred directly to care facilities. Applications can be submitted electronically from April. About 100 thousand children will be covered by this support.
Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, President of ZUS, pointed to the savings brought by electronic handling of benefits and to the convenience for beneficiaries. She also assured that ZUS would provide extensive support to all those who need help in applying for benefits.
– In more than 320 ZUS establishments, there will be assistants to help in setting up a trusted profile or completing an application – said Prof. Uścińska. – We will also launch a special hotline and additional information can be obtained online, via e-visit.
