Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister Marlena Maląg attended a family picnic in Raszków on Sunday. ‘Financial security of Polish families is the apple of our eye, it is our priority; our state will not survive if strong families cease to exist’ - said the Prime Minister.
The Family Picnic took place on the International Day of Families in Raszków (in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship), attracting hundreds of families from the entire region. The event was attended by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.
‘When the sky over Poland and Europe has clouded over, we must acknowledge that Polish families are and will stay the foundation of our policy and the foundation of a strong state’ - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
The picnic was organized by the Office of the City and Municipality of Raszków and the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.
‘Parenthood is a great adventure of life, and we, as the government, put the family on a pedestal - this is the foundation of our actions’ - said Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.
Families participated in a number of attractions during the picnic. The youngest participants were attracted mostly by the animation actions: facial painting, tattooing, plaiting braids or fitness contests and inflatable slides. A rally of antique cars was a real treat for automotive enthusiasts.
Water and land rescue demonstrations were closely followed, and the rules for first aid were also taught.
Families attending the picnic admired creative and joyful performances prepared by children's artistic groups. The ladies from the rural housewives circles offered their home-made goodies.
The International Day of Families was established by the UN General Assembly in 1993. The Day is celebrated on 15 May each year. This day is a special opportunity to reflect on the role of families in social life.
