Lowest unemployment in the EU. Poland on the podium

Stable situation on the labour market in Poland. Eurostat data published on Friday shows that in September, the unemployment rate in Poland was 2.8%. With this result, we were on the podium of the countries with the lowest level of unemployment in the Community.
Figures from the European statistics office show that the lowest level of unemployment in September was recorded in the Czech Republic (2.7%). The podium is completed by Malta and Poland, which recorded an unemployment rate of 2.8%.
This is well below the EU average (6%) and the Eurozone average (6.5%).
Eurostat data confirm the stable situation on the labour market in Poland. September is the fourth month in which the unemployment rate in our country has remained at the same level. The latest figures show that, year-on-year, the number of unemployed in Poland fell by 33,000, says Minister for Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg.
In September this year, according to Eurostat, there were 477,000 unemployed Poles. In September 2022, the number of unemployed people was 510,000. At that time, the unemployment rate was 3%; today it is 0.2% lower.
