Minister Marlena Maląg attended a video conference with the representatives of employers’ organisations, employment agencies and trade unions, dedicated to access of Ukrainians to the Polish labour market.

During the video conference, they discussed the opportunities and facilities regarding the support provided by employers to Ukrainian citizens in taking up employment in Poland.

Work is to be decent

Most of newcomers are women with children. – We want the main post-adaptation support to be the opening of the labour market to them – said Minister Maląg. She added that the legalisation of stay in Poland means the right to work and for children – the inclusion in the system of family benefits.

Minister Maląg stressed that the work is to be decent, with respect for the provisions of the Labour Code and equal treatment of all employees.

The directors of the labour offices have already been requested to consider any administrative issues related to the legalisation of employment of Ukrainian citizens in the labour offices without undue delay.

A special act is being created

Minister Marlena Maląg mentioned that a special act is being created, which temporarily governs the rules of entry and stay of foreigners fleeing the threat caused by the war in Ukraine. It will also include provisions to facilitate access to the labour market for foreigners.

During the meeting, the active and updated sources of useful knowledge, such as websites www.pomagamukrainie.gov.pl, www.praca.gov.pl, Zielona Linia portal and hotline (phone 19 524) or e-Praca app were mentioned. Entrepreneurs can offer jobs there and Ukrainian citizens can seek employment.
