Meeting with Lisa Paus, Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth in Germany

The situation of women on the labour market, the priorities of Poland's EU presidency, but above all the discussion on the prospects for further cooperation - these were the most important topics raised during the meeting between Deputy Minister Sebastian Gajewski and Lisa Paus, Federal Minister for the Family, the Elderly, Women and Youth.
30 April this year Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy was visited by a delegation from the Federal Ministry for the Family, the Elderly, Women and Youth headed by the Minister Lisa Paus. The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister Sebastian Gajewski together with representatives of our Ministry, was primarily for familiarisation purposes.
In addition to discussing perspectives for further cooperation, the situation of women in on the labour market, family benefits and the initial priorities of the Polish EU Presidency were also discussed.
What does the Federal Ministry for the Family, the Elderly, Women and Youth do?
The activities of the Federal Ministry for the Family, the Elderly, Women and Youth is mainly covering the following areas:
- family: family benefits, including their digitisation, family support, reconciliation of work and family life, maternity/parenthood;
- older people: care for the elderly, lifelong learning, reconciliation of working life, loneliness;
- equality between men and women;
- children and young people: children and young people's right to a good start in life from the beginning regardless of origin, gender, religion and status of parents;
- civic engagement: creating a framework, supporting development.
