Minister Maląg: by investing in the family, we are investing in the Polish economy

On Wednesday afternoon, Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy visited Ogólnokrajowa Spółdzielnia Turystyczna Gromada [National Tourist Cooperative Gromada] in Warsaw as part of a series of regional meetings with companies who have received support under the anti-crisis shied. The Minister also raised the issues of additional forms of support for the people who have lost their jobs in result of the coronavirus crisis: a solidarity benefit and a tourist voucher.
PLN 80 billion for entrepreneurs from government shields
The anti-crisis shield and its components amount to nearly PLN 3.5 billion in various aids granted to companies from the Mazovia Voivodeship, which allowed to protect over 193 thousand jobs in the region. On a national scale, support for enterprises amounts to a total of over PLN 24 billion.
During the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Minister of Development Andrzej Gut-Mostowy and the President of the Ogólnokrajowa Spółdzielnia Turystyczna Gromada [National Tourist Cooperative Gromada] Krzysztof Moczulski, Minister Marlena Maląg emphasized that from the very start of the anti-crisis shield, the priority was to protect jobs and maintain the smooth functioning of companies. - We have provided all the tools and resources to ensure that support for companies is provided as quickly as possible. The Gromada Hotel benefited from the support granted under the anti-crisis shield; I wish to thank the Hotel for their hospitality today - said the Minister.
She also pointed out that due to the joint efforts it was possible not only to smoothly introduce government shields, but also to quickly mobilise resources to protect jobs. - As of today, the aid amounts to over PLN 80 billion under the government financial, anti-crisis and aid shields.
Solidarity benefit and tourist voucher
Minister Marlena Maląg also talked about additional forms of support for the people who have lost their jobs in result of the coronavirus crisis. One such forms of support include the solidarity benefit proposed by President Andrzej Duda and adopted by the Sejm. - We are able to cooperate for the benefit of the Polish citizens. That fact is evidenced by the subsequent solutions proposed under the shields, as well as by President Andrzej Duda's initiatives - the aforementioned solidarity benefit or a tourist voucher for each child - said the Minister.
She also assured that social programmes such as “Family 500 +” will continue. - By investing in the family, we are investing in the Polish economy - she noted.
