The Council of Ministers has decided that this year's 14th pension will be paid in September. The benefit will amount to PLN 1,780.96, which is equal to the lowest pension.

Additional support for 8.9 million people

An additional annual benefit - the so-called “fourteenth pension” - will be paid in full to those who receive benefits of up to PLN 2,900 gross. Above this amount, the “zloty for zloty” principle will apply. What does this mean in practice? If this criterion is exceeded, the 14th pension will be reduced precisely by the amount of the excess (but it cannot be less than PLN 50).

This year, some 8.9 million of pensioners will receive fourteenths, including 6.4 million people that receive this additional benefit in full amount. Due to exceeding the threshold (PLN 2,900 gross), 2.5 million people will have their benefit reduced accordingly.

Who can count on an additional benefit?

The benefit will be applied to pensions in the general scheme, to farmers, uniformed services, bridging pensions, pre-retirement benefits and allowances, social pensions, teachers' compensation benefits, parental supplementary benefits, monetary allowance to which civilian blind victims of warfare and invalids of war and military pensions are entitled.
