Peace Light of Bethlehem at the Ministry of Family
18.12.2020
Exceptional guests visited the Ministry of Family and Social Policy on Friday. The representatives of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association brought with them the Peace Light of Bethlehem – a symbolic fire lit up at the Cave of Nativity in Bethlehem. The Peace Light was handed over to Minister Marlena Maląg.
“Throughout the 29-year history of the Bethlehem Peace Light, in the changing political climate, the Light has never failed to leave Bethlehem to go on its journey. This makes the light a sign of peace, a statement of mutual understanding and a symbol of reconciliation between nations,” says the website dedicated to the Peace Light of Bethlehem.
On Friday, the Peace Light of Bethlehem came to the head office of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy. The representatives of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association presented it to Minister Marlena Maląg.
– With great pleasure I welcome the Peace Light of Bethlehem today – a symbol of warmth, love, peace and hope. Let the heart of Christ fill our hearts together with it. Let the memory of that night in Bethlehem wake our inner faith, love and let it bring peace. Let the wonderful atmosphere of Christmas fill all homes and Families – Minister Maląg said.
