We are helping Ukraine
For several days, citizens of Ukraine have been suffering as a result of the armed aggression of Russian troops. Over 300,000 refugees have already crossed our eastern border. - Poland is very active in helping them," said Minister Marlena Maląg. - We welcome them, provide shelter and security.
The services of voivodes, NGOs, entrepreneurs and ordinary people are involved in these activities. The Ministry of Family and Social Policy is preparing changes to regulations that will allow long-term support to be provided. Families will have access to family benefits.
After crossing the border and confirming the legality of their stay, Ukrainians will gain open access to our labour market. It is sufficient that the employer notifies the competent labour office of their employment.
Work for women
The Deputy Minister Stanislaw Szwed informed that employers will adjust their offers to current needs, resulting from the fact that most of those arriving are women with children. He also announced further legislative work, simplifying legal employment.
"We are after meetings with representatives of employers and public employment services," Minister Maląg stressed.
