The National Festival “Thankful for Polish Farmers” was held for the fourth time. The initiator of the organised event is Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. This year, the Festival was held in Bobolice in the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship.

Polish Order for the countryside

During the ceremony, Prime Minister Morawiecki talked about the Polish Order, which, as one of its priorities, includes support for agriculture through, inter alia, amendments to the law regarding agricultural retail trade or higher subsidies for agricultural fuel. The relevant draft regulations have already been adopted by the Council of Ministers.

As part of the Polish Order, the government will help Polish farmers and the Polish countryside. Polish agriculture needs good road, transport, energy and Internet infrastructure. The Polish Order is not only a great programme of support for Polish agriculture, real money, not only high funds from the European Union – it is also a programme of support for Polish rural culture and tradition. We will do our best to make the Polish countryside develop as beautifully and as quickly as possible – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Meritis Pro Familia badges of honour

The Sunday ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Family and Social Policy Marlena Maląg, who awarded the Meritis Pro Familia badges of honour to families from the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship. Among the awarded there were, inter alia, large families, foster families and a married couple running a Family Children’s Home.
