The government supports entrepreneurs from the Odra region

The government has prepared solutions to support entrepreneurs from the Odra region. – We have urgently prepared solutions regarding the payment of a one-off cash benefit in the amount of PLN 3,010 per employee – informs the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg. The Sejm will deal with the draft act as early as on 2 September.
As early as during the next session scheduled for 2 September, the Sejm will handle the draft act on this matter. This is a one-off cash benefit amounting to PLN 3,010 per employee. The support is to cover 34 districts along the Odra River – informs the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.
The ecological situation in the Odra River has a negative impact on both the environment, but also the economy in the regions through which the river runs. That is why we have immediately started working on measures to help the companies operating upon the Odra River to get through this difficult time. The result of our talks with them is a modified idle time benefit in the amount of PLN 3,010, which is already known from the Anti-Crisis Shield. Thanks to this, it will be easier for entrepreneurs to apply for support – pointed out the Deputy Minister of Economy Development and Technology, Olga Semeniuk during the press conference.
The one-off benefit in the amount of PLN 3,010 will be granted for each insured person registered by 31 July 2022 for old age and disability insurance (with the date of emergence of old age and disability insurance not later than 1 July 2022). The one-off benefit granted to the payer of contributions will be determined as the total of benefits due for each insured persons.
Who will be able to expect this support?
The support can be applied for by entrepreneurs mainly from such industries as tourism, catering or sports and recreation. The full group of entities together with PKD codes, which will be entitled to receive the one-off benefit, will be specified in the Regulation of the Council of Ministers.
After an analysis, we decided to extend the list to include 23 PKD codes – says Minister Maląg.
As the Head of the Ministry of Family points out, in order to receive the support, an entrepreneur will have to demonstrate a decrease in revenues of more than 50% in August when compared to July or June this year or August last year.
How long will the support be paid?
The benefit will be one-off – for August – however, after analysing the situation in the regulation, it will be possible to determine further periods of its payment if necessary, as well as possible extensions to include further PKD codes.
How can the support be applied for?
The application should be submitted no later than by 31 December 2022, only in the form of an electronic document using the information profile created in the system provided by the Social Insurance Institution.
When is the benefit paid?
The payment of the one-off benefit will be made by ZUS immediately after explaining the last circumstance resulting in the right to the benefit and its amount.
How will the payment be made?
To the bank account recorded on the entrepreneur’s account. The Institution will inform the payer of contributions, through the information profile, about the amount of the one-off benefit paid.
It will not be possible to implement deductions and enforcement with respect to the benefit.
