The Sejm passed the act on the support for entrepreneurs from the Odra region

The Sejm passed the act on the financial support for entrepreneurs from the Odra region. Odra companies, whose revenues fell by at least 50%, will be able to apply for the one-off benefit amounting to PLN 3,010 for each insured employee.
“I am glad that such important and necessary regulations have already been adopted by the Sejm. I hope that the further legislative process will proceed in the same efficient manner and soon we will be able to start making payments so as to support entrepreneurs from the Odra region” – says the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg.
Support for entrepreneurs
The new act provides for the payment of the one-off cash benefit in the amount of PLN 3,010 for each insured employee. A company will receive the benefit if its revenue decreased by at least 50%.
The support can be applied for by entrepreneurs from the industries most affected by the adverse economic effects related to the situation on the Odra River:
- tourism industry (hotels and other accommodation facilities, tour operators’ activity, etc.),
- catering industry (restaurants, bars, etc.),
- sports and recreation industry (rentals and lease of recreational and sports equipment, rental and lease of means of water transport, etc.).
The full group of entities that will be entitled to receive the one-off benefit will be specified in the Regulation of the Council of Ministers, so will the periods for which the benefit will be paid.
Tourist voucher for a longer time
The Act also includes the provisions extending the validity of tourist vouchers granted to families during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new regulations envisage that the voucher can be used until 31 March 2023.
Using the voucher, it is possible to pay, inter alia, for accommodation in a hotel, guest house, agritourism farm, rehabilitation stay, scout, sports or recreational camp in Poland.
