Young jobseekers to find help

Young people from the Ostrów District who are contemplating their future professional careers or seeking employment have just been provided with invaluable aid. At the newly opened Youth Support Point, young people can use computer stations to browse through job offers and relay on the Point staff to provide them with specialist advice and information on active forms of support available at employment offices as well as schemes and instruments offered on the labour market.

"The project comes as a response to the needs of the labour market which requires workers not only to have qualifications, but also to show flexibility, creativity and adaptation skills,"

said Minister Marlena Maląg during the opening ceremony.

The project is being implemented with the support from the Labour Fund's reserve in the amount of more than PLN 2.44 million.

Centres help, activate and integrate

"Social Assistance Centres help solve social problems, coordinate social assistance schemes, support the disabled and elderly, and are also centres of integration and activation of people from various social groups, attracting also seniors and youth,"

said Minister Marlena Maląg during the conference "Jarocin Social Services Centre – A New Quality of Life for the Residents".

By joining the pilot programme of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, Jarocin's Social Services Centre received more than PLN 3 million in co-financing under the Operational Programme "Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020".
